Yangshuo · a courtyard by the Yulong River
Rice fields and bamboo rafts outside the window. Worth three nights or more.
The house
An old courtyard house, eight rooms, set back from the main road. No TVs in the rooms. There is a large osmanthus tree in the yard — in September the whole place smells sweet.
Who it suits
People who want to stay still for a few days: cycle along the Yulong in the morning, tea in the afternoon, dinner in the courtyard at night. Not for anyone planning three sights a day.
Practical
- Breakfast for two and pickup in Yangshuo town are included; bicycles are free to borrow.
- High season (summer holidays, National Day) costs more — book two weeks ahead.
- No children under 12; there is a pond in the courtyard.
